Lecamerounaisinfo.com is the first Cameroonian citizen news site, created in 2008 by OZO Soft’s founding team — the agency’s very first project.
It is 2008. OZO Soft doesn’t yet exist by name. But the founding team is already there, tackling their very first project. Kamdom Duvalier Soh, journalist and founder of ASCOM, wanted to create the first citizen news site in Cameroon — an independent digital space for Cameroonian news and diaspora coverage. A major challenge with HTML 4 and first-generation CSS in a nascent Cameroonian web landscape. Everything had to be invented.

This project is our founding act — the project that started everything, before the agency even had a name. Lecamerounaisinfo.com proved a local team could build and maintain a serious, scalable information platform for a community scattered worldwide. That team was already OZO Soft.
